1. New plans for the future of travel on SR 167

   KENT – The future of State Route 167 is beginning to take shape. In 2022, community members contributed ideas to improve the movement of people and goods along SR 167. The public is now invited to learn how the Washington State Department of Transportation used that feedback to shape plans and identify future improvements along the highway.

2. WSDOT suspends search for missing Tacoma pilot near Queets

   OLYMPIA - The Washington State Department of Transportation on Monday, March 20, called off the search for a missing 2006 Cessna T182 Turbo Skylane. The plane was piloted by Rod Collen on Monday, March 6, who departed from the Tacoma Narrows Airport at 5:35 p.m., fell off radar abruptly a few minutes later and has not been seen or heard from since.

3. Daytime traffic delays coming for travelers on SR 202 near Fall City

   FALL CITY – Over the next few weeks, contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will work to improve stormwater drainage along State Route 202. This work will focus on two areas near the 292nd Avenue Southeast and Southeast Fish Hatchery Road intersections with SR 202.

4. Travelers who use I-5 in Lewis County are invited to provide input using WSDOT’s online open house

   Future improvements and investments on Interstate 5 between the Harrison Avenue interchange in northern Lewis County and the Grand Mound interchange in southern Thurston County are the focus of an online open house.

5. Major improvements coming to US 2/97 and Easy Street intersection in Wenatchee

   WENATCHEEE – A project to improve mobility and safety at the US 2/97 intersection with Easy Street in Wenatchee will begin next month.
